Editor’s Note: Holiday Issue 2025

IMG 2011 – Lenox and Parker

Happy Holidays, Lenox & Parker family.

As I reflect on this year, my heart is full. Our community has expanded in beautiful and meaningful ways—from Taliah Waajid’s 2025 Natural Hair Show, to Miguel & Chauncey Wilson’s Fashion & Polo Classic, to Atlanta Fashion Week. Each event reminded us why culture matters, why storytelling matters, and why representation in real time is a privilege we do not take lightly. Being present to document Black excellence as it unfolds is more than editorial work—it is our calling. It is our purpose.

This year, I experienced my own season of growth. Writing for a publication that aligns so deeply with my personal values has been transformative. To lead a magazine that champions culture, creativity, entrepreneurship, and truth feels like a blessing I don’t take for granted. Our team may be small, but we are mighty. From our visionary publisher, Victor Flavius, to our dynamic sales director, Wilson Brown, to our brilliant fashion editor, Angela Watts, to every single contributor who lent their talent to our pages—from January’s issue to this holiday edition—thank you. You are the heartbeat of this magazine.

This particular issue is special to me in more ways than one. Our cover star, Fiskani, represents a full-circle moment for me. She was the first stylist I met when I stepped into the world of entertainment PR in Atlanta. I remember being struck not only by her unmatched style, but by her precision, her discipline, and her brilliance as a businesswoman. I watched her fly around the world to serve her clients, and then—years later—watched her flip the model entirely, building a global fashion destination that people now travel to. That kind of vision is rare. That kind of audacity is remarkable. And being able to highlight her journey, her innovation, and her impact within these pages feels like honoring a piece of my own evolution.

But I would be remiss if I didn’t also speak to the emotional landscape of the season. For many, the holidays are a time of love, family, and warmth—but for others, this time of year can stir grief, financial strain, loss, or transition. Some of you have lost loved ones. Others have lost jobs, stability, or pieces of identity you held close. If any of that is your story, I want you to know this issue is for you too. It is crafted with the hope that something within these pages lifts your spirit, inspires your perspective, or reminds you that the story isn’t over.

As 2025 comes to a close, I encourage you to hold on to the moments—big or small—that brought you joy this year. Remember that even in the hardest seasons, beauty still breaks through. And as we step toward 2026, picture that sunrise cresting over the mountains. New blessings. New growth. New possibilities. A new you.
