Culture Conversations: D’Angela Proctor — The Power of Undaunted Storytelling
This month’s Lenox & Parker Culture Conversation spotlights two dynamic voices shaping the future of storytelling — Editor-in-Chief Christal Jordan and award-winning producer and founder of Undaunted Content, D’Angela Proctor.
With a career built on courage, conviction, and creativity, Proctor has redefined what it means to tell authentic Black stories on screen. Her fearless commitment to truth and representation continues to influence the entertainment landscape, creating space for narratives that inspire, empower, and resonate across generations.
This November, Proctor ushers in a new era of cinematic excellence with two highly anticipated Lifetime Original Filmsas part of the network’s Love of a Lifetime movie slate: Terry McMillan Presents: Preach, Pray, Love (premiering November 8) and Eric Jerome Dickey’s Friends and Lovers (airing November 15–16). Each project celebrates the power of storytelling rooted in love, resilience, and the beauty of the Black experience.

In an intimate and insightful conversation with Jordan, Proctor discusses her creative process, the art of adapting literary legacies, and the responsibility that comes with shaping how Black love and life are portrayed on screen. Together, they explore what it means to build a legacy through storytelling that dares to be undaunted.
