Beyond the Field: Quinn Ramsey on Discipline, Inclusion, and Polo
Lenox & Parker had the opportunity to sit down with Quinn Ramsey, a standout member of Atlanta’s Best Academy polo team. Fresh from a mentoring session with younger students, Ramsey spoke with a quiet confidence that reflects both his dedication to the sport and his commitment to opening doors for others.

“I got into polo because it was so different from anything I had seen people around me doing,” he shared. “The mix of athletic skill, teamwork, and working with horses really pulled me in. I also wanted to show that polo is not just for one type of person. If you are willing to put in the work, you can belong here.”

For Ramsey, polo is more than a sport—it’s a teacher. “The most important thing polo has taught me is discipline. I’ve learned that success doesn’t come overnight. It takes showing up, practicing, and pushing through tough moments. Polo also taught me to respect the horses and trust my teammates. Real growth started when I stepped out of my comfort zone and kept going, even when it was hard.”
That persistence has paid off. Polo has given him more than trophies; it has given him perspective. “Playing polo has given me confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging. I’ve made connections with people I never would have met otherwise, and I’ve proved to myself that I can thrive even in spaces where I might not have been expected to be. It’s taught me the value of teamwork and responsibility.”
Ramsey’s story is a reminder that polo is no longer a sport confined to tradition and privilege. For a new generation of athletes like him, it’s becoming a space for resilience, inclusion, and transformation.
