Our sit down with entrepreneur in the Music and Film industry Erin Hall to talk life, film and creativity.
Share how the journey is since becoming a part of Streetz 94.5 Atlanta one of the fastest growing urban radio outlet in the southeast?
I currently intern at Streetz 94.5, it’s been nothing short of a blessing. It’s warm, positive, and always motivating to be around great people at the station. From management to the DJ’s, everyone is super supportive from the time you walk in the door of the station, and on.
Whats the best advice you’ve ever received?
As Solo says “If you’re on time, you’re late”. That’s one thing that I can appreciate if anything, because I hate being late for anything. It throws my day off. A little bit of the reason I feel like that, maybe because of the military. So I always try to be early to everything I go to, and have clear communication.
What are you most proud of in life?
There’s a few things I’m proud of, #1 I’m proud of the fact that I finished my first two degrees, and currently working on my third.
2nd, my company that is currently in the works. Stay tuned for that.
3rd, my passion to work with students and kids, I feel like nowadays kids really don’t have positive role models that can help them navigate in life. Times have changed, especially for this generation of people. A lot of people want to follow what’s popular, then being their own person and knowing that it’s ok to set your own tone for what you want to succeed in. So I mentor, to put faith and motivation back in their lives.
Women in the field of film and media are definitely in the minority but growing, do you have a mentor in this space to help navigate and can you share how they’ve helped?
My mentor was one of the heads of BET, now he is one of the heads of Paramount. He has always encouraged me to keep going no matter what. I started my television and music journey in 2015, and kept going from there. He always says how proud he is of me, and that I have come a long way, and see’s where I am going.
What’s the most exciting part of working with the morning team?
Man, what can I say about the Morning Team! They’re the best, definitely about their business, but really fun to be around. Seeing them encourages me even more so to keep going for the goal.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced in the past year?
The biggest challenge I have faced, is not having enough hours in the day to do what I need to do, but I make it work.
Tell me about a project or accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in your career.
My biggest project, I would say is my company that I have been working on for a couple of years now. It’s coming to fruition as we speak. It’s catering to the film and music industry.
Do you have any non profits or charity organizations that you support? If so, how are you Involved?
I volunteer at YMCA, teaching the first music program.
How do you ensure that you’ll keep evolving creatively?
Keep working on my craft, and never lose site of what my goal is.
My last question, where can people find you on social media?
